Industrial Concrete Stairs Repaired

Concrete stair repair for commercial buildings uses the same processes as those used for residential buildings.

In this project, a set of concrete stairs used as a rear entrance to an industrial building were in need of repair to prevent a trip hazard.

The first image below shows the stairs before restoration.  The damaged areas were exposed with loose concrete debris on the steps. While hard to detect in the straight on view, the steps and risers had been painted a light shade of blue. The paint was removed from the damaged areas, and the broken areas were reinforced, filled, and touched up.  Edges were refinished.

The second image shows how the concrete stairs looked after the steps were repaired and refinished.  In this case,  the repaired area was still wet, so the image may not accurately illustrate how the stairs look today. It would be necessary to sand and re-paint the entire stairs to get a uniform, eye-appealing staircase.
